Due to a new experimentally verified approach for the numerical simulation of forming hot cracks, effective optimisation strategies were developed to avoid hot cracks in the process of welding. The focus was on the influences of process parameters, the welding fillers and the additional warming-up of the component. The new mechanical-metallurgical approach, concerning the problem of formation of hot cracks, opens the path to the systematic development of technological measures to improve the resistance of hot cracks of welded components. There, a broad spectrum of possibilities of optimisation is available, from a simple minimization of heat input up to the modification of fixity. The efficiency of certain technological methods can be detected by dint of numerical simulation for every single case with a high level of reliability.
Subsequent to the lecture, there will be the opportunity for a serious discussion.
Participation is exempt from charges.
The presentation takes place at Kompetenzzentrum Neue Materialien, Gottlieb-Keim-Str. 60, 95448 Bayreuth-Wolfsbach. See directions.
We are glad to welcome you and to be at your disposal for further information any time in the forefront of the event.
