Venue:
Bayreuth, Kompetenzzentrum Neue Materialien Nordbayern GmbH
Referee: Dr. Walter Schütz, FutureCarbon GmbH, Bayreuth
In the lecture, the two carbon base materials carbon nano material as well as high-tech graphite are described. They are characterized by high electrical and thermal conductivity as well as high mechanical stability (in case of carbon nano materials).
Based on these base materials, applications will be presented. These are particularly located in the domains of thermoplastics, resins, ceramics and metals, where carbon nano materials and graphite can be applied as additive and influence the material properties systematically already in terms of low concentration. Besides, great application potentials lie in the field of catalysis (Usage of carbon nano materials as catalyst carrier); furthermore, they are relevant for the technology of batteries, especially for Li ionic accumulators.
Participation is exempt from charges.
The presentation takes place at Kompetenzzentrum Neue Materialien, Gottlieb-Keim-Str. 60, 95448 Bayreuth-Wolfsbach. See directions.
