Efficiency and security for research
Based on already existing knowledge in the search for patents – ideally, but not necessarily, of the workshop “patents: basics, practice of research, potentials” from October 9th – this workshop offers you a substantiated consolidation of your practice of research to strengthen your knowledge, your skills and efficiency for the research. Thus, you will gain confidence for your work of research, find out the tricks of professionals for efficient working and you will be able to answer questions of your previous runs of research.
It will be demonstrated how to initialise a research optimally and which possibilities and limits result from the chosen retrieval strategy. Due to practices, the translation of queries into the query language of the freely accessible databases can be learned and they moderate, how the international patent classification can support your research usefully.
Another useful tool is information of patents in the internet: You can find out, how to investigate according to the legal status and which possibilities are provided to search for foreign documents (USA, Japan, China, Korea).
Due to the fact that the number of participants of the workshop is limited, you can be sure that your questions will be answered extensively.
