Kompetenzzentrum Neue Materialien Nordbayern and Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) district group Bayreuth cordially invite you to the lecture of the month of November.
In cooperation with their partner companies, Neue Materialien Bayreuth GmbH managed to optimise surfaces made of EPP (expanded polypropylene) with innovative decor and covering materials. In the lecture, the coating of EPP with nano based easyclean lacquer will be commented exemplarily – a highlight, since the coating takes place without pre-treatment of the polypropylene substrate.
By means of a practical test, the versatile applications of such optimised surfaces are depicted in line with the lecture. There, it is particularly interesting, that this technology not only works with EPP on the one hand, but with compact polypropylenes as well. On the other hand, further functional and optical or haptic enhanced surfaces are available as well, next to the easyclean effect, which can be pictured as a inverted Lotus effect or so.
Next to the basics of surface optimisation of EPP or PP, the practice-oriented lecture will present examples from diverse fields of amelioration of surfaces as well. Many of these examples can also be transferred to other substances.
After the lecture, the referee will be available for questions and further information.
